Army Welfare Education Society was formed to cater the educational requirements of children’s related to Army departments. Under AWES the society has formed almost 134 Army public schools across cantonments and military stations in India. All following NCERT curriculum and affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. Recently it has released the Army Public School Recruitment 2016 Notification for a huge number of vacancies for the teachers for its Army Public Schools. There are total of 8000 requirements for TGT, PGT, PRT teachers for the year 2017-2018 across different divisions of Army Public schools. Educational requirements: Graduate/ Post Graduate with a B.Ed. degree in the related subject is necessary.

Age Limit: Freshers should not be more than 40 yrs of age and experienced teachers should be below of 57 yrs.

Selection Process: Generally, the selection process for teachers is through the –

  • Screening Test
  • Interview
  • Evaluation of Teaching skills and computer proficiency.

Brief about the Army Public School Recruitment Selection Process:

As updated earlier, there will be no written test as such as mostly these posts are for experienced teachers. There will be a screening test based on the common Aptitude test along with some questionnaires on the subject related questions. After this is done, nowadays the candidates are also being tested for the computer skills as it has become an important part of the selection process. There will be some Demo sessions for the subject related teachers with the senior’s officials/ teachers. Wherein the teachers have to show their talent on the teaching skills and they will gaze on the subject knowledge of the candidates.

Once the candidates are through with these tests, they will be intimated for the Interview with the main officials. In the interview they generally discuss about the salary, their teaching experiences, what differently they will do to improve their schools etc.
